Features That Makes Universal Studios in Singapore Extra Special

 

Sentosa Island is considered to be the most entertaining place in Asia. One of the biggest reasons behind this fact is Universal Studios Singapore at Resort World Sentosa. Once the park was open, the crowds have only increased in number.

The Layout

Universal Studios Singapore is spread over almost 50 acres of land in Resort World Sentosa. Not surprising as Universal Studios Singapore has 7 themed zones consisting of 24 rides, of which 18 are special rides that are exclusive to the park. They cannot be found in any other Universal Studios. These themed zones are also surrounded by lagoons.

Your retail needs are also taken care of as there are 20 retail centres in the park. From souvenirs to latest fashionable clothes, you can find it all at the many retail centres. And since so much shopping causes hunger, there are 30 restaurants and foods karts that will cater to your taste buds.

The Zones

So many tourists only visit Singapore just to experience the park and it’s zones. There are total 7 zones here that are home to unique rides and shows based on the most famous movies, and T.V. developed by Universal Studios based in Hollywood. These zones are: –

Madagascar – Based on the blockbuster 3D animation film of the same name, Madagascar is a place where you will experience tropical forests and themed rides. Here, you will come the famous characters from the movie and interact with them.

Far Far Away – Based on the fictional location from The Shrek franchise, Far Far Away is packed with many rides and shows that will keep you busy and reliving the most famous scenes and locations from of the movie. You should not miss this place.

Ancient Egypt – How does Mummy and Treasure adventures sound? That’s what you get in the Ancient Egypt section. Based on the 1930’s Egypt exploration era, this place is quite adventurous and has many rides based on the famous The Mummy trilogy

The Lost World – One of the most beloved movies ever made, Jurassic Park, finds a place in the Lost World. This themed area combines rides and shows based on the Jurassic Park and Water world. It will feel like you have entered a whole new world.

Sci-Fi City – Walk into the future at Sci-Fi City. Here, you will find rides based on the future. The whole zone is like you have time traveled into to the future. This place is also home to Universal Studios Singapore’s most famous ride, Transformers: The Ride. Time to get your ‘nerd’ on!

New York – It is a dream for many to visit New York. You can fulfill it here. This zone features some of the most popular places in New York City that you may have seen in movies and TV shows. You can also meet characters from Sesame Street.

Hollywood – This zone has only one section that is designed to resemble Hollywood Boulevard. Here, you have retail stores, restaurants, entertainment areas, and the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you can see stars of your favorite Hollywood celebrities.

Singapore Universal Studios has many other aspects that make it one of the most entertaining places in the world. Based on the season, there are shows that are held that feature action and adventure. During the Halloween season, the park brings in the famous Halloween Horror Nights. During these exclusive nights, visitors are entertained with special live horror shows, haunted houses, and scare zones that will incite excitement and fear.
